In Umineko ‘furniture’ is defined as a being that is not considered human. The three servants (Genji, Shannon and Kanon) are not listed here, as they have more of a complex of believing they are furniture rather than actually being furniture (the entire laser sword and magic barrier stuff – never happened). They do count to the “no more than 18” limit and should be considered human, despite what they say otherwise.

Welcome to flippingboards, a blog made in order to write notes down for analyzing Umineko. Some things should be noted before you read:

1) I am indeed a VN reader, but entries will not be spoilerish for future events unless noted before the entry begins.

2) I will not do episode summaries, unless I feel like it. If you want an episode summary then watch the actual episode yourself.

3) These entries will detail my thoughts on the events that occurred, but in no way am I saying my interpretations are correct nor accurate. The final answer has still not been revealed in the game, so I am in no way claiming I am aware of that answer as well.

4) Higurashi =/= Umineko. If you want to watch Higurashi then go watch it again. Even though Umineko is apart of the “When They Cry” series does not mean you will see characters like Rena or Keiichi at any point during the game. Although you may see a couple familiar faces and places in some shape or form.
